While hiking a trail toward a scenic lake, I noticed people stopping their cars and pointing toward the trees. Sensing something special, I turned back and followed the commotion—soon spotting this magnificent Bull Moose standing proudly in the clearing. I kept a respectful distance of about 25 feet, careful not to disturb him. After patiently waiting nearly 30 minutes for him to lift his head, I was able to capture the image I had always hoped for.
