To my surprise, a beautiful great horned owl was perched on a large tree beside the trail. The tree sat lower than the path, creating a clean, natural background that perfectly framed the moment. I knew this opportunity was rare—I pass this massive tree every day and had never seen an owl perched there before. I carefully moved closer, maintaining a safe distance to avoid disturbing her hunt. After about ten minutes, she turned and offered the perfect pose, allowing me to capture the image.
